Giving Tuesday –  which takes place this year on 3rd December – is a global day of giving that sees people all over the world come together to support charitable causes.

This year, African Adventures Foundation is taking part in Giving Tuesday in order to raise as much money as possible for our Christmas Meal Appeal.

Our Christmas Meal Appeal aims to provide every child at our partner projects with a nutritious meal and festive party this Christmas. Our staff in Ghana, Kenya, Zanzibar, and the UK will all be getting involved with the festive fun, and you can too!

There are many ways that you can get involved this Giving Tuesday. Don’t forget to send us any pictures!

Unselfies

Have you donated to the Christmas Meal Appeal?

If so, we’d love you to send us your ‘unselfie’ so that we can share your generosity on our social media feeds. For all of our slightly shyer donors, don’t worry – the whole purpose of an unselfie is not to show your face. Instead, you should write down your reason for donating on a piece of paper, hold it up, and take a selfie. Be as creative as you like! You can send us your unselfies by tagging us on social media, or via WeTransfer.

We’ll be posting our favourites to our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages, so keep an eye out to see if you can spot any familiar handwriting!

Christmas Jumper Day

We’re asking all of our supporters to don their most fabulous festive knitwear to raise money for our Christmas Meal Appeal. Whether it’s a jingle bell jumper, or a tinsel-covered top, ask your friends, family, and colleagues to get Christmassy for charity. Our UK office will be doing just that on Giving Tuesday, so keep your eyes peeled for the appearance of our most garish (but great!) garments on social media. We recommend a minimum donation of £1 for the pleasure!

Send us pictures of your efforts and you could be featured on our social channels too.

Christmas-themed bake sale

The UK team will be serving up some Santa-tastic snacks in aid of our Claus. Why not get involved yourself and hold your own bake sale? A universal favourite for fundraisers, this time of year offers plentiful opportunity to do some creative baking. All we want for Christmas is food…

If you’d like any additional help with your fundraising this Giving Tuesday, let us know by emailing foundation@stg-africanadventures-staging.kinsta.cloud.

Thank you!
