The festive season is well and truly underway – and so is our Christmas Meal Appeal!
We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who’s already donated – we’ve been overwhelmed by your generosity. Just £5 can fund 10 festive meals for the children at our partner projects, so even the smallest donations really will make all the difference this Christmas.

What is the Christmas Meal Appeal?
The Christmas Meal Appeal is our annual festive fundraiser which aims to provide every child at our partner projects with a nutritious meal and festive celebration at Christmas.
For many of the children who attend our partner projects, daily life can be very challenging. Our partner projects are based in underprivileged communities, where access to education is limited, and getting enough food is a daily struggle.
Why is it especially important this year?
The COVID-19 pandemic has fundamentally altered all our lives, but for our partner projects in Ghana, Kenya and Zanzibar – and the children who attend them – the impact has been profound.
For many of the children we support, the food they receive at school may be the only meal they eat that day. Widespread school and business closures at our host destinations – designed to curb the spread of Coronavirus – have created high levels of food insecurity and economic uncertainty, adding even more pressure to families who are already struggling to make ends meet.
Earlier this year, your incredible generosity meant that we were able to raise nearly £15,000 for our partner projects, which helped to provide food security for the children who attend them when it was most needed. Our Christmas Meal Appeal will enable us to provide the children with a nutritious meal and a special celebration to enjoy after an extremely tough year.
How can you help?
Donating to the Christmas Meal Appeal couldn’t be easier. You can donate via our safe and secure website, or by text.
Simply visit our webpage and choose your donation amount. We’ve made it clear what your donation will mean for the children at our partner projects, so you can choose how much you wish to contribute.
To donate by text, simply text MEALAPPEAL, followed by the amount you would like to donate, to 70085. For example, by texting MEALAPPEAL20 to 70085, you’ll donate £20 to the appeal. Please be aware that if you do not specify an amount, a default donation of £10 will be made.
We believe that Christmas should be a time of joy and celebration for everyone, regardless of circumstances. Plus, we promise that 100% of your donation will go directly to our partner projects, so you can rest assured that you’ll really be making a difference this Christmas.
